"Regular Americans being forced to foot the
bill" When the government steps in to save the
very financial institutions that poisoned the nation's financial system
with contaminated securities and derivatives -- all while the bankers get
to keep the fees and bonuses on their bad bets -- we are not talking about
a free market.
We're talking about regular Americans being forced to foot the bill for
the gambling habits of left-wing multimillionaires by buying the
malefactors more chips every time they lose.
Ann Coulter

"We cannot spin our way out of
this threat."
"Many of us have grown even
more uneasy about our administration's approach to national security, the
most important role ascribed to our federal government.… New terms used
like "overseas contingency operation" instead of the word "war."
That reflects a world view
that is out of touch with the enemy we face. We cannot spin our way
out of this threat.
It is one thing to call a
pay raise a job created or saved. It is quite another to call the
devastation that a homicide bomber can inflict a "manmade disaster."
I just say, come on
Washington, if no where else, national security is the one place
where you've got to call it like it is."
Sarah Palin:
Former Governor of Alaska.

"In response to a Nigerian Muslim trying to blow up a
flight from Amsterdam to Detroit on Christmas Day, the government will now
prohibit international travelers from going to the bathroom in the last
hour before the plane lands.
Terrorists who plan to bomb planes during the first seven hours of the
eight-hour flight, however, should face no difficulties, provided they
wait until after the complimentary beverage service has been concluded.
Also prohibited in the last hour of international flights will be:
blankets, pillows, computers and in-flight entertainment. Another triumph
in Janet Napolitano's "Let's stay one step behind the terrorists" policy!
For the past eight years, approximately 2 million Americans a day have
been subjected to humiliating searches at airport security checkpoints,
forced to remove their shoes and jackets, to open their computers, and to
remove all liquids from their carry-on bags, except minuscule amounts in
marked 3-ounce containers placed in Ziploc plastic bags -- folding
sandwich bags are verboten -- among other indignities.
This, allegedly, was the price we had to pay for safe airplanes. The one
security precaution the government refused to consider was to require
extra screening for passengers who looked like the last three-dozen
terrorists to attack airplanes.
An alien from the planet "Not Politically Correct" would have surveyed the
situation after 9/11 and said: "You are at war with an enemy without
uniforms, without morals, without a country and without a leader -- but
the one advantage you have is they all look alike. ... What? ... What did
I say?"
The only advantage we have in a war with stateless terrorists was ruled
out of order ab initio by political correctness."

The CIA's harsh interrogation techniques saved countless American lives by
forcing al Qaeda chieftains to disclose a string of sophisticated terror
plots to infiltrate the United States with cold-blooded killers.
That fact is established in two documents released Monday by the Justice
Department, hours after they released the CIA Inspector General report
which Attorney General Holder has used as a basis to appoint a special
prosecutor to investigate the CIA interrogators.
The successes produced by the so-called “enhanced interrogation
techniques” are disclosed in two declassified CIA reports -- the same ones
demanded to be released by former Vice President Dick Cheney. He made the
demand after President Barack Obama ordered the release of a Justice
Department memo outlining the techniques -- but not the results.
The bottom line: the two reports show the enhanced interrogation
techniques, whether right or wrong, protected America. Rowan

Civilian Criminal Court in America is just an
attention-getting platform for a terrorist...
"And the American people know that trying
terrorists like ordinary criminals puts international public relations
ahead of public safety and makes a mockery of American justice. This
administration's decision to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and his cohorts in
our civilian criminal courts is the most naïve and dangerous decision I
have ever witnessed the United States government make. We should not be
granting terrorists their wish to be tried at the scene of the worst enemy
attack in American history.
"We should not tell terrorists around the world that they have more rights
if they kill Americans on our soil than if they kill Americans on the
field of battle. The Obama administration must overturn this wrongheaded
decision and try these enemy combatants in a military tribunal where they
belong.

Mike Pence.

Huckabee on Traditional Marriage
As governor, Huckabee supported an Arkansas policy that
prevented same-sex couples from serving as foster parents. On gay
marriage, he said in an interview, "Marriage has historically never meant
anything other than a man and a woman. It has never meant two men, two
women, a man and his pet, or a man and a whole herd of pets."
Ann on new bailout Democrats have decided
that in order to prevent Wall Street from starting more financial
meltdowns, wrecking the economy and leaving the American taxpayer holding
the bag, we need to
give more oversight authority to the same government employees who were
busy surfing Internet
porn as private investors frantically tried to warn them about Bernie
Madoff.
Wall Street's defenders also crow that the money in the bailout fund won't
come from taxpayers!
(There's a newfound sympathy.) No sir, it will come from "the banks."
That's like saying that the original bailout money didn't come from the
taxpayers -- it came from the
government! Where do Democrats imagine banks and the government get their
money?
Banks, like the government, are entities that spend money they collect
from human beings.
In other words, the Wall Street slush fund will be paid for by a group of
despicable fat cats recently
discovered by the Democrats known as People Who Have Bank Accounts. Damn
them!

OFF SHORE DRILLING = Jobs and Economic
Strength Public outrage forced Congress to
finally end its ban on offshore drilling, after 26 long years of keeping
America’s vast energy resources in the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS)
locked up and off the market.
The Obama administration is doing everything it can to drag its feet and
prevent us from accessing American energy resources. They are trying to
ignore the millions of Americans who demanded access to American energy
resources by secretly putting the ban back in place.
Even more amazing and outrageous: the Obama administration is now actually
poised to lend $2 billion from U.S. taxpayers to the Brazilian national
oil company, Petrobras, for offshore drilling in Brazil.
This administration is actually going to force you to pay for offshore
drilling in Brazil, at the same time they try to block offshore drilling
here in America!
Offshore drilling in the OCS would be a real economic stimulus that would
create jobs and economic growth by actually producing something. A
study from ICF International estimates more than 160,000 well-paying
American jobs would be created from allowing oil and gas drilling
offshore. Government policy to prevent these jobs by banning access to our
own resources is completely unacceptable at a time of 9.4 percent
unemployment.

"What the hell is a community
organizer?"
"Donald Rumsfeld took over
the Office of Economic Opportunity... They’d never seen a Republican in
the anti-poverty program...I went to work for Don and worked for him for
the first Nixon term for four years. We spent about two years at OEO and
then a brief stint in the White House and then about a year and a half on
wage-price controls...
But it was an experience in both cases -- the anti-poverty program.
I was working with Head Start and Volunteers in Service to America,
community action agencies, funding community organizers. We used to sit
around and say, “What the hell is a community organizer?”

President Dick Cheney from an Interview with Human Events Online after
being named Human Events Conservative of the Year 2009.

LBP: One definition
of liberal communication is the art of spinning... somewhat like Speaker of

Or like Representative

what government agency will enforce the new Healthcare mandates on

"The only place that
the left hasn't placed the blame is on their agenda"
"I am a big supporter of this movement.… I look forward to attending more
Tea Party events in the near future. It is so inspiring to see real people
-- not politicos, not inside-the-Beltway professionals -- come out and
stand up and speak out for commonsense, conservative principles."
It took guts and it took a lot of hard work, but with grassroots
support, Scott Brown carried the day. It has been so interesting now to
watch the aftermath of the Massachusetts shout-out revolution."
"The White House blames the candidate: Their candidate. And Nancy
Pelosi, she blamed the Senate Democrats. And Rahm Emanuel, he
criticized a pollster. And yet again, President Obama found some way
to make this all about George Bush.…"
"The only place that the left hasn't placed the blame is on their agenda.
So here is some advice for our friends on that side of the aisle.
That's where you've got to look because that's what got you into this
mess. The Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda will leave us less secure, more in debt
and under the thumb of big government that is out of touch and out of
date. And if Scott Brown is any indication, it is running out of
time.…"
A lot of great commonsense conservative candidates are going to put it
all on the line in 2010. This year, there are going to be tough primaries.
And I think that's good. Competition in these primaries is good.
Competition makes us work harder and be more efficient and produce more. I
hope you will get out there and work hard for the candidates who reflect
your values, your priorities, because despite what the pundits want you to
think, contested primaries aren't civil war. They're democracy at work and
that's beautiful. …"
"I caution against allowing this movement to be defined by any one leader
or politician. The Tea Party movement is not a top-down operation. It's a
ground-up call to action that is forcing both parties to change the way
they're doing business, and that's beautiful. This is about the people."
Former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin:
Excerpts from a speech she delivered at a recent Tea Party
Convention.
